Meet Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren — owner of Ollio Lactation. I'm a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and mom of two little boys based in Calgary, Alberta.
With over a decade of NICU experience, I specialize in helping families meet their feeding goals in the early postpartum period. My expertise includes establishing effective and pain-free breastfeeding, supporting pumping, managing low milk supply, and caring for fragile feeders. Whether you're breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or still figuring it all out — I’m here to help.
When I’m not working in the NICU or supporting families in their homes, you can find me working in the garden, decorating (and eating) sugar cookies, or on the bike trail trying to keep up with my adrenaline-seeking children.

Prenatal
Review everything you need to know to prepare for feeding your newborn and/or managing your milk supply. Optional antenatal colostrum collection with supplies included.
Pumping shouldn’t hurt. A detailed pumping assessment includes trial of various flanges and provides personalized recommendations to optimize your pumping routine.
Pumping Support
Personalized, in-home feeding support to help you and your baby find comfort and confidence with feeding. Together, we’ll address your questions and concerns, and create a plan that feels sustainable and aligned with your goals.

Relax in the comfort of your home, I come to you. We will work around babies schedule during our time together, using their nap to review what has been working for you, go over any teaching, and discuss potential strategies.

While in-home lactation is not covered by Alberta Health Services at this time, it may be covered under your insurance as nursing services or lactation.

Currently Sunlife, Canada life, Manulife, Great West Life, and Greenshield cover the services of an IBCLC (if your employer has added it to your plan). Federal employees enrolled in the Public Service Health Care Plan have lactation specific coverage.

Please check with your plan as many will cover the cost of in-home nursing or lactation.

Pumping is my passion; I have additional training in flange sizing and pumping optimization. I also specialize in prenatal education, establishing breastfeeding in the fourth trimester, managing under/over supply, and providing post-NICU support.

At this time, clients must purchase any recommended flanges from a third party. Our flange fitting service provides the opportunity to efficiently trial several flanges and inserts and find the ideal fit that optimizes your pumping experience immediately.
